SkillsUSA is a nonprofit national education association, propelling middle-school,
high-school, and college/postsecondary students toward successful careers in
trade, technical, and skilled service occupations.
Central to the heart of SkillsUSA’s mission is the unwavering commitment to helping
each and every student thrive. Through innovative programs and hands-on
experiences, the organization empowers young minds to reach their full
potential and become the driving force behind a prosperous America.
Among the many remarkable initiatives of SkillsUSA is the prestigious Larry Rash
Memorial Scholarship, an exemplification of the organization’s dedication to
recognizing exceptional talent and passion within the architectural design
domain. Every year, Davis Bews Design Group donates money to this scholarship
memorializing Larry Rash, a former employee who left an indelible mark on the
industry. Larry’s love for designing homes has left a lasting impact at DBDG.
The Larry Rash Memorial Scholarship competition stands as an opportunity for
aspiring young architects to reach their dreams. To compete in this design
contest, one must be a high school rising upperclassman enrolled in an
architectural drafting program.
As we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the 2023 three finalists of the
Larry Rash Memorial Scholarship, we are reminded of the impact of such
initiatives in fostering excellence, pushing boundaries, and igniting the flame
of passion within the hearts of young professionals. Through SkillsUSA’s
unwavering dedication and the support of visionary sponsors like Davis Bews
Design Group, the path to success becomes a journey of growth, learning, and
achievement.
