Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting
students from Dunedin High School’s Architectural and Construction program for
a unique and immersive field walk in collaboration with Alvarez Homes.
Our students had the incredible opportunity
to explore three distinct homes, each at varying stages of construction. The
students were split up into three groups and each group had a professional from
the Davis Bews team as a group leader to talk about the designs and answer any
questions. From foundation to finishing touches, the experience provided
invaluable insights into the real-world application of architectural concepts
and design principles.
A huge thank you to Alvarez Homes for
opening their construction sites to these students allowing them to witness the
evolution of a home from the ground up.
Davis Bews Design Group is passionate about
nurturing the next generation of architects and designers, and this partnership
with Dunedin High School’s program is one we truly value. Our commitment to
education extends beyond the studio, and we believe in fostering hands-on
experiences that inspire creativity and innovation.
Here’s to the future architects, designers,
and innovators!
